TKB Trading After Twilight Green Mica – Review & Swatches

TKB Trading After Twilight Green Mica

Described as a “subdued green mica with medium sheen.”

Price: Various, starting at $1.50US for one generous tablespoon.
Available at: TKB Trading.

This mica is practically two colours in one, depending on application. When applied dry, it appears as a faded murky dark green with specks of green shimmer, and only wears for four hours before fading. When applied wet it is a beautiful metallic forest green – an entirely different colour – and wears for closer to eight hours.

In my opinion, this mica needs to be used wet. I experienced some fallout during application, both dry and wet, and had general difficulty blending. In the future, I’d probably opt for something else, but I know Twihards will buy it just for the name ;)

Ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide & Chromium Oxide Green. FDA Approved for Eyes, Face & Nails. Do not use on the lips. Warnings: This product contains chromium oxide green, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.

Rating:

2.5/5 Red Frogs

Please note: Pure micas do not contain any additives or bases, and therefore may not adhere optimally to the skin. They are intended to be used to make your own cosmetics, and are not a finished product.

You can also purchase additives and bases from TKB Trading to improve application and wear. I also highly recommend purchasing a jar for storage, which TKB Trading also sells, as their micas are sold in bags.
