TKB Trading Apricot Mica – Review & Swatches
TKB Trading Apricot Mica
Described as a “light colored nearly neutral-toned, warm orange with golden highlights”.
This is a beautiful melon orange with a prominent golden sheen. In my eyes, it appears very similar to swatches I’ve seen of MAC’s Melon Pigment.
When used dry, the colour is slightly sheer and the golden sheen is reduced but still noticeable. When used wet, the golden sheen is much more apparent and the colour is nearly opaque. I have used this mica both wet and dry, depending on the occasion. This shade wears for eight hours when used dry and without primer, and wears all day with some minor fading when used wet. It applies easily, blends well, and I had no issues with fallout.
This colour is slightly darker than my NC15 skintone, and is a wonderful colour for highlighting my browbone and cheekbones. TKB Trading also recommends mixing a little in with your foundation for an overall glow, but I have not tried this myself.
Ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide & Carmine (Not Vegan). FDA Approved for Lips, Eyes, Face & Nails.

Please note: Pure micas do not contain any additives or bases, and therefore may not adhere optimally to the skin. They are intended to be used to make your own cosmetics, and are not a finished product.
You can also purchase additives and bases from TKB Trading to improve application and wear. I also highly recommend purchasing a jar for storage, which TKB Trading also sells, as their micas are sold in bags.
