TKB Trading Dragonfly Mica – Review & Swatches

TKB Trading Dragonfly Mica

Described as “a deep brown mica with green afterglow”.

Price: Various, starting at $1.50US for one generous tablespoon.
Available at: TKB Trading.

This duochrome mica is true to its description and my personal favourite from TKB Trading. It is also similar to MAC’s Old Gold Pigment. Unlike many micas and pigments, this colour is highly pigmented when used both wet and dry. It can be used dry for a more neutral look, or wet to increase the vibrancy of the teal green iridescence.

This shade wore incredibly well. When used dry without a primer, it lasted 8 hours before fading or creasing. And when used wet or with a primer it remained perfect throughout the day. I experienced minimal fallout when used dry, and no fallout when used wet. It also blends like dream.

I always receive compliments when I wear this colour. If you’re placing an order with TKB Trading in the future – Dragonfly is one of their must have products.

Ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide & Iron Oxide. FDA Approved for Lips, Eyes, Face & Nails.

Rating:

5/5 Red Frogs

Please note: Pure micas do not contain any additives or bases, and therefore may not adhere optimally to the skin. They are intended to be used to make your own cosmetics, and are not a finished product.

You can also purchase additives and bases from TKB Trading to improve application and wear. I also highly recommend purchasing a jar for storage, which TKB Trading also sells, as their micas are sold in bags.
